Welcome to
Access Medical Group
We are your preferred thyroid management and hormone optimization practice in Niceville, FL. At Access Medical Group, we focus on preventive medicine and specialized treatment options for thyroid and hormone conditions. Our providers have the experience and knowledge to make sure you and your family get healthy and stay healthy.
We are in-network with Medicare, Tricare (but not Prime), and Blue Cross Blue Shield (but not Blue Select). If you’re insured with another company (or have Tricare Prime or a Blue Select policy) or if you’re uninsured, that’s okay, you’ll simply need to self-pay for your care at the time of your appointments.
Tricare Prime Patients: We are unable to serve as your Primary Care Physician (PCP) and therefore unable to send referrals for you. You can still be seen at Access Medical Group as a self-pay patient, but referrals to other providers will need to come from your on-base PCP.
Prescription Policy
Our providers write prescriptions with enough refills to last patients until they need to be seen again. Usually, lab work (a blood draw) is required before a new prescription can be written. Lab work is very important to ensure patients are not under or over medicated.
If your prescription says it has 1 (or more) refills, you can simply contact the pharmacy to get it refilled. If it says 0 refills, then you will need to be seen by a provider to get a new prescription. If that prescription requires lab work, you must get it done at least 2 weeks before running out of medication.
We do understand that life happens sometimes. If you accidentally run out of medication sooner than you can get your blood drawn, our staff will do their best to try to squeeze you into the schedule. These appointments will be limited to 15 minutes, and they will only result in a short-term prescription to give you time to get lab work done and schedule a more comprehensive appointment.
